The Holiday Let gets a summer refresh

During my agency days I worked on a great project called with another freelance chum of mine. They’re basically an independent holiday lettings website with over 5,000 private holiday lettings worldwide. On the website you can search for lettings, enquire and book direct with the lettings owner.

The business has developed, and time has passed, the agency supporting them grew, started to service larger clients and weren’t now the best support for a company of The Holiday Let’s size. This is common in our industry and through no fault of either party, and looking at the best ongoing support the business required, The Holiday Let decided to work with the original developer on a freelance basis. They in effect went full circle and it’s great to see.

I work closely with the freelance web developer, working on many joint business and personal projects together. Together, we offer a wider array of services and in effect offer the full package when it comes to digital services.

Like many projects prior, I was commissioned by the client, through high recommendation from the developer, to redesign several key areas of the website. These include a new homepage ‘above-the-fold’ design, new search results page and a new property details page. I was also asked to consider a mobile view of each as the new website was going to start supporting mobile devices through a responsive interface.

Here are a few mockups of the work I produced. I can’t wait to see how the website evolves over the next couple of months and the impact it will have on the business.
